“Lone Star” Actress Adrianne Palicki in 90 Seconds
Ahead of the season premiere of the new Fox series Lone Star on September 20 at 9pm, the network is introducing fans to the Lone Star cast prior to the drama. In the latest Lone Star clip from Fox, fans get to know actress Adrianne Palicki (aka Cat in Lone Star) in under 90 seconds.
Palicki, a native of Toledo, Ohio who left her hometown in search on an acting career at 18, reveals her inspiration for becoming actress, three good things about her life, her hero, and more.
Say hello to Adrianne Palicki who plays Cat in Lone Star.
Ausiello: I asked Adrianne Palicki—star of Fox’s near-perfect fall drama Lone Star—about rumors of a Tim/Tyra reunion in season 5, and here’s what she told me: “I think if anybody ends up together it should be them. They’re so right for each other. They’re the same.” I tend to agree with her. Palicki and I also see eye to eye when it comes to costar Connie Britton’s long-overdue Emmy nomination. For her thoughts on that, and scoop on FNL‘s wrap parties (plural), press play below.
To view a interview where she talks about Connie, go to EW and check it out!
On Monday, Adrianne Palicki was photographed during the 2010 Summer TCA Tour and Fox TCA All-Star Party in Los Angeles and I have just added a total of 124 HQ/MQ photos from both events into our gallery!
The Cast of ‘Lone Star’ On the Show, Big Secrets & Jon Voight (VIDEO)
My favorite new fall show boasts sexy stars, drama, intrigue and a pretty amazing cast. Basically, ‘Lone Star’ is the complete package.
The show’s hot new leading man (James Wolk) will get to romance two fabulous ladies (Adrianne Palicki and Eloise Mumford) while he’s also working a major con job on an oil magnate (Jon Voight) and trying hard to get out from under his fellow conman dad’s (David Keith) thumb. It’s soapy, dramatic, suspenseful, heartwarming … oh, I’m done gushing. I’ll let the stars do it for me.
I caught up with the ‘Lone Star’ cast to get their take on the show and their characters, working with the legendary Jon Voight and being one of the sexiest casts on TV.
‘Friday Night Lights’ Adrianne Palicki on her return and Emmy nominations
Adrianne Palicki will soon be calling another part of Texas home to film “Lone Star,” but she hasn’t forgotten “Friday Night Lights.”
“I’m in the final two episodes,” Palicki tells Zap2it. “It was amazing … a lot of the original cast came back and so you get to really say goodbye to everybody. It’s going to be emotional but it’s going to be really good.”
“Friday Night Lights” just wrapped production on Season 5, which will be the show’s last season. The final few weeks of taping came on the heels of Best Actor and Actress Emmy nominations for Kyle Chandler and Connie Britton, who anchor the show as Eric and Tami Taylor. Palicki tells us the feeling on set after the nominations came out was incredible.
“Finally! The feeling on that show once everybody got nominated was like, ‘It’s about time!” she laughs. “And to go out with that was so huge, it’s a good way.”
The final season of “Friday Night Lights” will air this fall on DirecTV and in the spring of 2011 on NBC. “Lone Star,” starring James Wolk, Jon Voight and Palicki, premieres Monday, Sept. 20 at 9 p.m. ET on FOX.
The Paley Center For Media Presents World Premiere Of “Lone Star”
On July 20th, Adrianne Palicki was photographed in Los Angeles at the world premiere of “Lone Star”. I have just added 13 photos of Adrianne at the event – you can see them by clicking on the previews below…
Out With the Old, In With the New for Adrianne Palicki
Talk about out with the old, in with the new! In the last few days, Adrianne Palicki has 1) played her final scene as Tyra Colette on “Friday Night Lights,” 2) joined in a cast and crew wrap party for the acclaimed show, and 3) flown to Dallas in time to begin production on her new series – Fox’s “Lone Star” – this week.
Adrianne tells us she’s glad for the immediate turn-around between the series. It keeps her from getting too down about saying goodbye to a show and cast she’s loved. According to her, creator Peter Berg and all of the original cast members of “Friday Night Lights” planned to be on hand for the farewell gathering, which she anticipated as “a good occasion for all of us. It was such a beautiful thing to be a part of.”
Another series was hardly on top of her wish list when she first heard of “Lone Star,” she admits. “I’d had such an amazing experience on ‘Friday Night Lights,’ I couldn’t imagine something else coming along of that level. I was thinking about a movie, which would only be a three-month commitment.” Then her reps asked her to read “Lone Star,” in which James Wolk plays a con man who has set up two different false lives for himself, including a rich fiancée (Palicki) in Dallas and an everyday home town girl wife (Eloise Mumford) in Midland.
“The character I would normally play is the girl from the wrong side of the tracks, so when they said Cat (the rich girl), I thought I’d love to play someone so different from anything I’ve done before.” Meeting Wolk sealed the deal, she says. “You have to have the right actor to play Bob, or the show can’t work. He’s perfect.”
And there’s a side benefit – fashion.
“Oh, my God! Even in the pilot alone! I’ve never worn Manolos in my life and now I have three pairs in the wardrobe. Amazing Versace and Valentino. I thought, ‘Why didn’t I put it in my contract that I want to keep the clothes?’ I usually wear jeans, so kind of getting dressed up every day is really fun.” Maybe she’ll take to it and we’ll be seeing her with a $40,000 handbag soon? She laughs. “Not unless it’s a rental.”
